Amberley - St Michael's Church

St Michael's is the largest of the four churches that serve the tiny parishes of Amberley, Greatham, Parham and Wiggonholt in the Wildbrooks Benefice of West Sussex. St Michael’s, serves the village of Amberley, and the building itself dates to around 1100AD. The church website provides a virtual tour and audio guide.

Amberley Wildbrooks

Amberley Wildbrooks is an 809-acre biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. From the South Downs at Amberley Mount there is a stunning view of the Wildbrooks. The River Arun traces a serpentine path across an extensive flat area of grassland, bounded on the horizon by hills and woods.

RSPB Pulborough Brooks

Parham House & Garden

The RSPB reserve forms part of the Arun Valley Special Protection Area (SPA) near the South Downs, extending across a broad sweep of undisturbed wet grassland, intersected with wildlife-rich ditches and surrounded by woodlands. There is a shop and cafe at the RSPB centre.

Parham is one of the country's finest Elizabethan houses and is on Amberley's doorstep. Enjoy exploring the house and the stunning walled garden.

Arundel

Arundel is well worth a visit with its historic Castle, Cathedral, Wetlands Centre, independent shops and places to eat .
