The proposed access route for the site on school road between the car park entrance and the main B2319 Turnpike road junction is dangerous and unsound. The existing junction has poor sightlines that make it difficult to see cars on the B2139 Turnpike Road. During the regulation 18 consultation the Parish Council had the junction assessed by a traffic consultant who deemed it dangerous in its current form, there have been several accidents and fatalities at this location.

The addition of another junction at this point for a development on this site will increase traffic movements and the risk of accidents involving both vehicles and pedestrians, of special concern is the proximity to the local school which is just to the north of the junction in school road.
